Farewell Dario Fo

Today the famous Italian playwright and Nobel Prize for literature winner Dario Fo sadly passed away. Up to the very end he was personally engaged in many aspects of society, arts, politics and culture.

Dario Fo and his wife Franca Rame were personally involved in the early stages of the development of the HIV antiviral compounds by the University of Pavia and our collaborating group of the University of Siena. Already in 2008 Franca Rame dedicated the salary that she received as a senator of the Republic of Italy to scholarships for students working on what back then was the precursor of what would later evolve in the HIV and HCV antiviral platform currently under development by our company. As recent as may of this year, Dario Fo received all the scientists of the University of Siena in order to personally congratulate them with their breakthrough publication in PNAS.

Dario Fo and his wife Franca Rame made this world a better place. They did this in many unique ways.
