The EACS2019 HIV conference in Basel was very special for First Health Pharmaceuticals. Besides important sessions about the latest developments in HIV treatment we also had some very productive meetings during our parallel sessions in the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois where we invited collaborating scientists, HIV activist and Industry partners. We very much enjoyed our stay in Basel and we are pleased that we will return soon.
Medical conferences are always important occasions for our company, but HIV conferences have a special atmosphere because of the energetic vibe of the HIV activist community and we are already looking forward to EACS2020 in London next year.
During EACS2019 we were joined by Louise Bakker, the young HIV awareness ambassador of our non-profit foundation First Health United who interacted with the many HIV prevention and awareness initiatives that were present at the conference. The work of these organizations is very important because for the moment prevention is still the only cure for HIV, while people living with HIV need all our support, especially in regions where young people are still being infected by the millions.
